Case Study: Overcoming MPOX: Building Vaccine-Ready Cohorts in the Face of Stigma

The Challenge

During the MPOX outbreak, stigma severely limited vaccine uptake and healthcare engagement, particularly in marginalized communities. Public health efforts were hindered by a lack of data on the real barriers preventing access.

The PreMatch360 Solution

PreMatch360 rapidly developed a responsive, cross-sectional cohort drawn from communities most affected by stigma and exclusion. Through targeted outreach and culturally sensitive engagement, we:

  • Deployed surveys to assess stigma, trust, and access barriers
  • Quantified how social factors shaped healthcare-seeking behavior
  • Identified population-specific concerns around testing, treatment, and vaccination
  • Delivered insights to inform vaccine and public health strategy

Why It Matters

PreMatch360 went beyond identifying who was at risk. We built the
path to reach them. Sponsors and public health leaders now have a
data-backed roadmap to engage marginalized populations faster,
more effectively, and with greater trust.
